“Dear graduating students of Motoyama Junior High School

I would like to send you my congratulations on this very
important day as you graduate from junior High school and
now become ready for the next stage of your life at Senior
High School.

Having visited Motoyama Junior High School on 3 occasions
with delegations from your sister school in Australia,
Rowville Secondary College, I have come to know and
appreciate so many of you. I have really enjoyed the
warmth of your hearts shown in the smiles on your faces
and the twinkle in your eyes. I am proud and pleased to
have met so many of you and hope that we will again at
some later stage see each other and once more say hello.
If that occurs I look forward to the stories that you will tell
me about life at senior high school.

For now I know that you will be excited and pleased with
your achievements so far but maybe also a little sad to be
finishing your time at such a great school as Motoyama,
with very caring and kind teachers. As you know this will
also be Mr. Fukuoka’s last Graduation ceremony at
Motoyama and I send him my warmest wishes and
congratulations on his excellent leadership at Motoyama.
